Finding A Hidden Job

Some jobs simply are not posted. They are found jobs or created jobs. Recently I sent in a résumé for a job that wasn’t posted. How did I know there was an opening? I read the local online newspaper – AnnArbor.com and there was an article of about a woman that lost her job – I knew by reading that article that they would be looking for someone new – so I sent my résumé to the board. Many would have waited to see if the job was posted…it was bold to just assume but I also knew they needed to fill the position quickly.

Good article that takes a real look at the reality of some declining industries. If you are in one of these industries – you might want to start looking for other opportunities, go back to school or think of a career change now before your industry is gone.
