Statistics from the U.S. Department of Labor for the last months (Jun ’09 – Jun ’10) show that the unemployment rate of those 25 years old and over that have at least a bachelor’s degree – were 4-6% lower than those with only a high school education.

However if you think education is the holy grail to keeping j0b it is only one piece of the puzzle. I am very “pro-education” – I have an MBA and I have considered a Ph.D. It is what you do with that degree and how you apply the lessons you have learned in your everyday workplace that help you keep that job.
